Study Sherpa is a guide — a force of trust and faith that helps you understand yourself, so you can work out what you want and how to get it.
Before you can find where you want to be, you need to understand that you are entitled to want what you want. You can trust yourself to choose your own path and create your own goals, which Study Sherpa can then help you achieve.

The founder of Study Sherpa, James enjoyed great success as a student. He completed the VCE in 2003, obtaining an ENTER (ATAR equivalent) of 99.50, and then went on to graduate from the University of Melbourne with bachelor's degrees in law (LL.B) and commerce (BCom) in 2009.
James tutored extensively whilst studying at university, particular in high school maths and English. He found that most students were primarily held back by ineffective study and a lack of motivation, not a lack of ability. He also observed the destructive impact of the great pressure placed on students throughout their education. This lead James to read extensively on psychology and neuroscience, culminating in the development of the Study Sherpa curriculum.
James is passionate about the role education can play in building self esteem and improving general quality of life for all students. His goal is to make study as enjoyable and rewarding as possible for every student he works with.
